Job summary

Jasper Engines & Transmissions is seeking a 1st shift part-time Security Guard in Leavenworth, IN. You will patrol the facility, monitor cameras, control access, and respond to emergencies while maintaining confidentiality of security-related information.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and readiness for night, weekend, and holiday shifts. Computer skills are preferred and you will document daily activities and incidents.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk an entire shift (8-10 hours).
• Standing, walking and sitting postures as required.
• Willingness to work night shift, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the premises interior and exterior to prevent intrusion and secure doors and windows.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and incidents and investigate as needed.
• Monitor entrance/exit of employees, visitors and vendors to prevent shrinkage and maintain accountability.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident/discrepancy reports.
• Notify police/fire/EMS in emergencies and coordinate responses.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled patrols to detect hazards and ensure safety.
• Review surveillance footage for incidents and unauthorized access.
• Adhere to monthly safety/security training requirements.
• Monitor emergency lines and relay information during non-business hours.
• Monitor weather conditions and communicate severe weather to staff.
• Manage and secure keys, sign out keys and lock/unlock doors as needed.
• Escort unauthorized individuals off the property when necessary.
• Report events to management during non-operational hours.
