- Administer and maintain the company's security program in accordance with NISPOM requirements.
- Serve as the designated Facility Security Officer (FSO) and primary point of contact with DCSA and other government security representatives.
- Maintain the company's Facility Clearance (FCL) and ensure ongoing compliance with all safeguarding requirements.
- Prepare for and support DCSA assessments, audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Process and manage personnel security clearances through DISS and other government systems.
- Coordinate security briefings, debriefings, and annual refresher training.
- Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements.
- Review classified contracts and DD254s to determine security requirements.
- Work closely with program managers to ensure contract compliance and proper implementation of security controls.
The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $140,000 (annualized USD). The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal pay equity, location, contract-specific affordability and other organizational requirements.
Required Skills
- Experience supporting government contractors in the Federal, Defense, or Intelligence Community sectors.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility to access Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Facility Security Officer, Assistant Facility Security Officer, or similar industrial security role.
- Thorough knowledge of NISPOM requirements and DCSA security practices.
- Experience managing personnel security clearances and facility clearance activities.
- Experience using DISS and related government security systems.
- Strong understanding of DD254 requirements and classified contract administration.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Must be able to work onsite in Herndon, VA office multiple days per week
Additional Certifications
- Certified FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities certification.
- Knowledge of Insider Threat Program requirements.
- Security-related certifications such as ISP®, SFPC®, CPP®, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting CMMC, cybersecurity compliance, or classified information systems
