Job description

ATI builds and manages collaborations that conduct research and development of new technologies to solve national challenges. Traditionally, these processes are complicated; ATI simplifies and streamlines them, enabling the warfighter, saving lives, and diversifying the industrial base.

Position Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Facility Security Officer (FSO) to lead and manage programs for DoW and IC customers. The FSO will manage day‑to‑day operations and oversight of Collateral, Special Access (SAP), and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs at ATI, operate independently, manage multiple programs, interface with government and internal customers, and provide guidance across ATI.

Essential Functions

Serve as the Summerville Facility Security Officer responsible for managing day‑to‑day security requirements in accordance with 32 CFR Part 117, NISPOM, including DD254 compliance, personnel and physical security, and information security.
Serve as the primary CPSO/CSSO for assigned programs, ensuring compliance with SAP and SCI security policies and directives; implement and maintain SCI/SAP security measures in accordance with ICDs, DoD 5205.7 Vol 1‑4, 32 CFR Part 117, and other applicable regulations.
Supervise a staff of 3‑4 industrial security employees, including front desk receptionist support.
Coordinate and supervise guard services at the facility.
Coordinate with government security officers, program managers, and other stakeholders on all aspects of program security.
Manage security requirements including personnel security, indoctrinations, debriefings, access rosters, and clearance verifications.
Maintain required security documentation, briefings, records, self‑inspections, and physical security for ICD 705 accredited facilities.
Lead development and implementation of security plans for SCI/SAP and collateral programs.
Ensure IT personnel maintain accreditation of appropriate systems supporting programs.
Conduct self‑inspections, security incident investigations, document corrective actions, and interact with government cognizant security officers for on‑site inspections.
Serve as the ATI Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO).
Serve as the COMSEC Custodian if applicable.

Qualifications

Master's degree with 3 years, Bachelor's degree with 5 years, Associate's degree with 7 years, or some college with 10 years of directly related industrial security experience as a cleared defense contractor within the National Industrial Security Program.
Completion of the FSO for Possessing Facilities Curriculum with DCSA.
Completion of CSSO and/or ICD 705 courses.
Completion of CPSO and/or SAP Security Training with CDSE.
Membership in a professional Industrial Security group preferred (ISWG, CSSWG, CAISSWG, NCMS).
Experience supporting new program stand‑up efforts to include ICD 705‑compliant facility builds and accreditations.
Must be a U.S. citizen by birth or naturalization; Current TS/SCI eligibility required.
Special Program Security Credential (SPSC), Security Professional Fundamentals Credential (SFPC) a plus.
Must successfully pass a background check to access sensitive information and automated systems.
Will be subject to a background check that includes a review of criminal records; the company will consider the nature, timing, and relationship of any prior convictions to the job duties.
Prior convictions will be considered but do not automatically disqualify a qualified candidate; each case is evaluated independently.
