Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Facility Representative opportunity in Richland, WA for the DOE Hanford Field Office.
Position Overview
- Plan and conduct assessments of policies, programs, and procedures related to operations, maintenance, testing, and facility readiness.
- Perform field oversight and document reviews to gather data for assessments.
- Areas of focus include site infrastructure, waste management, groundwater treatment, deactivation and demolition, Tank Waste, and the High‑Level Waste Facility.
- Document assessment and surveillance reports in the DOE's integrated Contractor Assurance System (iCAS) database.
- Provide regular verbal briefs to the Operations Oversight Division (OOD) Director, Team Leads, and Facility Representatives.
- Interface with Hanford subject matter experts and site contractors.
- Support the Facility Representative Program through mentoring, training, and procedure updates.
- Submit weekly reports on work accomplished and progress on deliverables.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Attend relevant training, meetings, and discussions.
- Perform administrative functions as required.
- Contractor personnel performing services under this call shall complete required training based on assigned facilities. The OOD Director will identify the required training.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study is required. An associate degree with three years of experience, or six years of experience without a degree, may be substituted. Advanced degrees (MS, PhD) may substitute for nine and twelve years of experience, respectively.
- A minimum of nine years of combined experience in nuclear conduct of operations, construction safety and oversight, and nuclear facility testing and commissioning is required.
- Substantial experience with DOE O 422.1 Conduct of Operations programs is necessary.
- A fundamental understanding of nuclear, mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiological principles.
- Proficiency in safety inspections, incident investigation, causal analysis, management reviews, and quality assurance is required.
- The ability to read and understand regulations from the DOE, EPA, OSHA, NRC, and other relevant industry standards is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with processes at the Hanford Tank Farms and/or the Waste Treatment & Immobilization Plant, or
- Experience with nuclear facility deactivation and demolition, or
- Experience with Process Safety Management of highly hazardous chemicals (29 CFR 1910.119)

Compensation
Salary is commensurate with education and experience and may range between $150,000 and $250,000 annually.
