Scope of Work:
This position involves updating the Air Force NexGen asset management database, producing reports, and performing cost estimates for capital projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in complying with legal and regulatory requirements for military facility projects, including preparing DD Form 1391s and analyzing Air Force Instructions and guidelines.
- Monitor and validate work requests and coordinate approval processes for converting them into contract projects.
- Implement metrics, analyze processes, and ensure efficiency and timeliness.
- Develop and justify capital improvement projects for USAFA facilities.
- Conduct self-inspections, prepare reports, and ensure resolution of discrepancies.
- Track and document all taskings and packages.
- Ensure proper documentation, prioritization, authorization, approval, and funding of facility projects, including MILCON, SRM, O&M, Medical, and NAF sources.
- Maintain and update the NexGen database and prepare presentations and responses for leadership.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates using parametric tools.
- Manage project planning, oversee subordinate programmers, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Train team members and government personnel on programming requirements and procedures.
- Coordinate financial programming actions with government counterparts.
- Report to the Portfolio Optimization Manager and adhere to policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in Air Force or military civil engineering organizations.
- Knowledge of civil engineering and funding processes, including MILCON, O&M, and NAF.
- BS degree in Architecture or Engineering preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with PACES software is desired.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and drug tests.
