Job summary

State of South Carolina seeks a facilities plumbing supervisor to plan, organize and supervise maintenance and repair of plumbing and sewage systems across state facilities. You will install, operate and maintain plumbing systems, take-off diagrams, requisition parts and manage emergency maintenance.

On-call rotations are required; completion of four weeks of SCDC Basic Training is mandatory on hire. The department offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional

Qualifications

High school diploma and experience in the installation, maintenance or repair of air, water, gas or waste disposal systems.
Relevant experience may be substituted for the required diploma on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, control, supervise, administer and complete facility plumbing maintenance and repair program.
Responsible for program and supervision of emergency plumbing maintenance and repair operations.
Install, operate and maintain plumbing and sewage disposal system.
Diagram and make take-offs.
Requisition material and parts needed.
Position requires on-call rotation and/or 24-hour emergency repair.
