Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. seeks an Associate Facility Planner to support federal planning projects, including DoD programs, with independent yet collaborative work. You will help define requirements, analyze space needs, and contribute to master planning efforts for diverse clients.
The role requires 5+ years in planning, strong communication, and the ability to travel. Hybrid work policy applies, with about two days weekly in the Atlanta office and travel to various sites as needed.

Our Advisory Solutions Planning services span a wide spectrum of expertise — it is the thoughtful integration of multiple practices across Jacobs Advisory Solutions. We are a premier provider of facility planning/programming and consulting services to a variety of government, institutional, military, and corporate clients. These services include Strategic Planning, Facilitation & Stakeholder Engagement, Programming & Portfolio Optimization, and Master Planning & Design meant to enhance our clients’ business efficiencies. Our team includes planners, facility programmers, architects, landscape architects, interior designers, civil/environmental engineers, economists/business analysts, GIS analysts, graphic designers, and other related disciplines.
Role: The primary duties of the Associate Facility Planner are to use best practices and knowledge of planning principles to support project teams and to be a resource for colleagues with less experience. This position works independently but collaboratively to deliver a wide range of federal planning projects, including Department of Defense (Air Force, Army, Navy, and Marine Corps), U.S. Intelligence Community, or a range of federal civilian agencies.
A Facility Planner is responsible for conducting and documenting physical and functional facility analysis to assist our clients in better understanding their space needs, risks, and opportunities within their current or projected facility portfolio. Tasks involve defining operational and mission requirements and developing strategies to support the changing needs over time. A Facility Planner applies data research and interview techniques to gather and analyze data to help define future requirements.
Projects range from small, medium, or large master planning and facility planning efforts. Responsibilities will include supporting planning recommendations developed by the team, developing programming documentation (DD Form1391) , project validation, and corresponding documentation in compliance with all applicable Federal and DoD policies and criteria. Planning projects may also include Vision Plans, Area Development Plans, District Plans, and Installation Development Plans that require knowledge and application of applicable Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) guidance. The base salary range for this position is $75,300.00 to $131,700.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
