Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Pipefitter for the Eastern Colorado Health Care System to install, test, maintain and repair facility piping and plumbing systems across ECHCS campuses and clinics.

The role requires working knowledge of high-temperature water and steam systems, valves, pumps, and hospital equipment, with on-site responsibilities and potential for on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Experience or training demonstrating ability to perform pipefitting duties.
• Ability to install, test, maintain high-temperature water and high-pressure piping systems.
• Willingness to work shifts and be on call for maintenance.
• Knowledge of valves, pumps and steam systems for hospital facilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, repair and maintain high-temperature water and high-pressure piping systems.
• Install and repair steam generators, medical gas, pumps, valves and tanks.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections of plumbing systems.
• Work on hospital and laboratory equipment installations.
• Travel to satellite CBOC sites within the ECHCS metro area as needed.
