Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Facility Operations Supervisor in North Carolina. The role focuses on supervising plant personnel, distillation equipment operation, and handling tanker/truck and rail car activities in a safety-conscious environment.

You will oversee a team of operators, ensure SOP compliance, and drive process improvements while maintaining DOT and safety standards. This position requires strong leadership and organizational skills in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years supervisory experience in Shipping and Receiving
• Experience managing larger teams preferred
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to streamline processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Proficient in MS Office and Windows-based applications
• Able to review SOPs annually and score quizzes

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the top priority and follow safe work practices and SOPs.
• Perform site-specific plant operations including distillation equipment operation and sampling/loading/offloading.
• Supervise multiple operators and load/unload crews and plant operations.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and permit requirements and hold staff accountable.
• Maintain a clean work environment and support management as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
