Job summary

PTR Global is seeking a Critical Facilities Engineer / Facility Operations Lead to support a mission-critical data center environment. You will oversee safe and reliable operation of electrical, mechanical, and cooling infrastructure to maximize uptime.

The role requires deep hands-on knowledge of UPS systems, generators, switchgear, HVAC, cooling towers, and building management systems, with a focus on preventive maintenance, incident response, and continuous improvement in an onsite

Qualifications

• Experience supporting critical facilities or data centers.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical building systems.
• Experience with UPS, generators, switchgear, HVAC, and cooling systems.
• Familiarity with MOPs, SOPs and EOPs preferred.
• Experience with hyperscale or colocation data centers preferred.
• Liquid cooling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of critical facility infrastructure.
• Monitor, operate, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems.
• Support power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, HVAC, and cooling systems.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance and vendor activities.
• Develop and follow operating procedures, ensuring safety and standards.

• Respond to alarms, troubleshoot issues, and support restorations.
• Maintain documentation, maintenance records, and reporting.

Position Overview

PTR Global is seeking a Critical Facilities Engineer / Facility Operations Lead for a direct-hire opportunity supporting a mission-critical data center environment. This individual will be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of critical building infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems, while maintaining the highest levels of uptime and operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of critical facility infrastructure.
• Monitor, operate, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems supporting a mission-critical environment.
• Support power distribution, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, HVAC, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, cooling towers, and building automation systems.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and vendor activities.
• Develop and follow operating procedures while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, commissioning activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Respond to equipment alarms, troubleshoot system issues, and support restoration activities.
• Maintain documentation, maintenance records, and operational reporting.
