FMC Ice Sports in Hopedale, MA is seeking a diligent facilities maintenance team member to maintain and secure the arena, prepare and repair the ice surface, and ensure the facilities are clean and welcoming.

Requires a HS diploma or GED, 21+, valid driver’s license, good communication and organizational skills, and flexibility to work varying hours. Training starts at $18/hr, rising to $20/hr upon completion, with a discretionary bonus and annual reviews.

Overview

Facility Management Corporation, known as “FMC Ice Sports,” was formed in 1992 to deliver high-quality ice sport facility management and operations, as well as ice-based programs that benefit our communities and promote interest in hockey and skating. FMC is the largest operator of public arenas in the United States, managing 25 public ice skating arenas across Massachusetts under long-term partnership agreements with the Commonwealth, municipalities, and educational institutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain and secure the facility.
• Make and maintain the ice surface and arena facilities.
• Ensure facilities are cleaned on a regular basis.
• Demonstrate a total commitment to outstanding customer service for both internal and external customers.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be a self-starter with ability to analyze situations and develop solutions to problems with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a variety of individuals and groups interested in recreational matters.
• Must possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, especially as seasons and service needs change.

Compensation

Training rate $18 per hour. Rate will increase to $20 per hour upon completion of training. Compensation includes a discretionary bonus and annual reviews, which will be discussed at the time of offer.
