Job summary

Baltimore County Public Schools is seeking a custodial supervisor to lead building service workers on a level two facility. The role involves operating boilers, furnaces, and HVAC equipment, performing routine maintenance, and guiding staff to ensure clean, safe schools.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two years of building services experience required.
One year of supervisory or lead worker experience preferred.
Maryland stationary engineer license preferred or noted as a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate custodial staff and shifts, develop work schedules, and monitor attendance.
Operate and oversee HVAC equipment including boilers, air handling units, heat pumps, and air conditioners.
Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs; change filters, grease pumps, and inspect equipment.
Prepare work orders and communicate custodial needs to administrators.
Ensure safety, sanitary, and security standards; inspect facilities and maintain records.
