Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Facility Operations Supervisor in Richmond, CA to lead a 3-person team, ensure safety and compliance, and meet daily production goals at a medical waste facility. The role involves day and/or night shifts under the guidance of the Facility Operations Manager.

You will supervise technicians on-site, drive safety culture, and influence performance through coaching and planning to support operations success.

Qualifications

• Leadership in a supervisory role within a facility.
• Solid knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Experience applying OSHA standards and safety programs.

• Ensure health and safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Emphasize productivity, health & safety, compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure that each project has an operating plan and that personnel follow it.
• Onsite supervision, training and mentoring of technicians and will also provide input to Operations Manager regarding performance evaluations for individuals to whom this position has direct supervision over.
• Will be responsible for helping carry out daily production goals of the shift including trailer offloading/receiving, consolidation, medical waste processing, box truck offloading, and outbound operations.

Safety Kleen, located in Richmond, CA is looking to add a Facility Operations Supervisor to join their safety conscious team. The Operations Supervisor will work alongside our teams ensuring safety, compliance and making sure we are meeting our production goals for the medical waste facility. You will oversee a team of 3 technicians on day and/or night shift under the support of a Facility Operations Manager.

Shift: Need to have ability to work either days or evening shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required;
• 5+ years of experience working in processing/chemical facility is required;
• Supervisory experience in facility operations is required;
• Medical waste processing or autoclave experience would be an asset;
• Knowledge of Federal, state and local environmental regulations;
• OSHA Training and experience is preferred.
