• Establishes goals, priorities and work projects for maintenance operations and directs the operation, repair, maintenance, construction and installation of machines, tools, equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Supervises activities to ensure conformance with agency policies, maintenance standards, planning and budget constraints.
• Manages a large operating budget and Building and Facility projects, ensuring funds are expended properly and beneficially.
• Develops and implements new methods to improve operations, minimize costs and optimize labor/materials use.
• Maintains security of the institution as part of the staff correctional responsibilities.
