Job summary

Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions in Pasco, WA seeks a Facility Manager to lead day-to-day operations at the liquid asphalt/emulsions terminal, focusing on safety, reliability and customer service. You will manage staff, schedules, compliance, budgeting and capital projects, coordinate with engineering and regulatory agencies, and ensure on-time deliveries while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or Business preferred.
• 3–5 years' experience with asphalt terminal operations and product receipts.
• Proven track record of operations leadership and personnel development.
• Working knowledge of industrial safety and environmental compliance reporting.
• Excellent communication with suppliers, peers, customers and agencies.
• Solid technical and analytical skills with problem solving ability.
• Ability to prioritize, decide and implement change.
• Strong recordkeeping and organization with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; able to master local software.
• Valid TWIC Card or ability to quickly acquire TWIC approval.

Responsibilities

• Provide enthusiastic leadership and direction to all facility staff.
• Manage administrative duties, reporting, schedules and training.
• Maintain relationships with customers, vendors, regulators and staff.
• Oversee inventory control and manufacturing operations for cost efficiency.
• Direct product receipts, inter-plant transfers, blending, transfers and shipments.
• Maintain product quality and compliance with tests and specs.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and expansion projects with engineering.
• Develop safety/environmental programs and regulatory documentation.
• Manage terminal budgets, purchasing and capital expenditure needs.
• Ensure SOPs and Emergency procedures; enable data-driven decisions.
• Coordinate marine, rail and trucking operations with safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with trucking, rail and marine regulations.
