Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Facility Foreman to oversee daily operations across facility departments. You will lead teams, enforce safety and compliance standards, and guide new and existing staff while maintaining records and supporting hands-on plant activities.

The role requires 5–7 years in facility/industrial operations, leadership experience, and the ability to obtain site certifications. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills are essential, with some travel and PPE

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; specialized training or one year of college preferred.
• Five to seven years of related facility, industrial, or plant operations experience.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain all required site-specific certifications.
• Demonstrated proficiency in plant operations such as drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations, truck loading/unloading, or wastewater treatment.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to take initiative and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Windows-based computer applications.
• Forklift or heavy-equipment operating experience preferred.
• Ability to climb, bend, stand, walk, lift and carry up to 50 pounds; climb on/off forklifts and ladders.
• Ability to work in loud environments and wear PPE and respirator.
• Travel ability with less than 10% travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and operational oversight for one or more facility departments.
• Promote and enforce Health & Safety, operational, and compliance standards.
• Train, mentor, and provide direction to new and existing employees.
• Coordinate daily work assignments and assist with scheduling.
• Monitor employee performance and provide feedback to leadership.
• Ensure paperwork and data entry are completed accurately following activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Identify and communicate operational, safety, and compliance concerns to leadership.
• Operate forklifts and other light or heavy equipment when necessary.
• Support facility operations such as drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm activities, truck loading/unloading, or wastewater treatment.
• Perform additional duties based on business needs.
