Pay Range

This range is provided by NYS Office of General Services. Your actual pay will depend on your skills and experience. Discuss with your recruiter for more details.

Base pay range: $42,641.00/yr - $52,413.00/yr

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate manual and self-propelled material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks for receiving, storing, repackaging, and shipping USDA foods.
  • Verify monthly distribution amounts selected by warehouse staff for release to customers.
  • Locate USDA foods by code, name, or pack date, and move appropriate amounts to staging areas for re-palletizing for shipment.
  • Conduct preliminary inventories and inspect USDA foods for damage, weight, or improper storage. Report discrepancies immediately.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as required.
Operational Needs
  • One year of practical experience in general construction or maintenance tasks.
  • Valid New York State Driver’s License appropriate for the vehicle operated when required to operate motorized vehicles.
Minimum Qualifications

One year of service as a Facility Operations Assistant 1 or Motor Vehicle Operator, OR two years of full-time, verifiable experience in custodial, grounds, or maintenance operations or assisting in a journey-level trade. Valid NYS driver’s license required for operating motor vehicles.
