We are seeking qualified candidates for the Facility OP Coding Quality position at Indiana University Health. This remote role supports Revenue Cycle Services' Total Quality Management team.

Overview

This position involves performing quality reviews, providing feedback to operational teams, and developing Standard Work procedures. The goal is to ensure accurate and complete clinical medical record documentation and coding related to patient status, care documentation, billing support, and hospital reporting. The role also participates in various quality initiatives across the IU Health system.

Must Have:
  • 3-5 years of outpatient coding experience, including same-day surgery coding.
  • RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CIC, or COC certification, or an active Indiana RN license or Nurse Licensure Compact RN license.
  • High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor Degree in Health Information Management, Coding, Nursing, or Finance preferred.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma training preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in revenue cycle operations, including utilization management, coding, billing, collections, and related areas.
  • Ability to interpret medical records and documentation accurately.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to establish collaborative relationships and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Visio, Access).
Additional Information

This is a full-time, mid-senior level management position within the Hospitals and Healthcare industry. The role offers a salary range of $60,000 to $70,000, with other locations offering different compensation packages.
