Job summary

DFI Resources is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead the facility support team and contractor partners in maintaining our properties to high aesthetic and performance standards. The role partners with the Austin Facilities Manager to achieve companywide objectives, directing indoor/outdoor maintenance and service, and coordinating HVAC, MEP, lighting, and related systems.

The ideal candidate will have a college degree in facilities management or a related field and 5+ years of management

Qualifications

  • College degree in facilities management, engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of management experience or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, MEP, and building systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive and organized with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead facility support team and contractors to deliver high service levels.
  • Coordinate maintenance including HVAC, MEP, and lighting.
  • Qualify and manage contract firms and ensure quality.
  • Oversee budgeting and cost optimization for facilities.
  • Review safety regulations and ensure OSHA compliance.
  • Plan additions or changes to properties and coordinate projects.

Position Summary: Responsible for leading, coordinating, and working with the facility support staff and contractors to care for the physical residence and infrastructure. Ensures the buildings and improvements are maintained to the highest aesthetic and performance standards. Partner with the Austin Facilities Manager to meet companywide objectives. Lead team members to provide companywide facilities support.Position Responsibilities:Partner with the Austin Facilities Manager and Facility team to meet objectivesLead and manage the facility support team to achieve the highest level of service, detail, and performance standardsCoordinate/manage and/or perform all aspects of indoor/outdoor maintenance and service as it relates to the facility, including HVAC, MEP, lighting, etc.Qualify and manage contract firms and ensure appropriate qualityConduct frequent reviews of the physical surroundings to ensure a range of quality issues are identified and rectifiedCarry out special projects as requiredAnticipate and make recommendations regarding the long-range needs of the facilities.Make recommendations to improve and upgrade the level of detail, service, and operational sophisticationAssist in planning and coordinating all required additions, modifications, or changes to the propertiesProvide facility-related consulting (e.g., MEP) for assigned projectsAssist in formatting and administering facility budgetsProvide leadership, guidance, and ongoing education to staff to ensure high standards of service and performanceImplement company directives, including but not limited to reporting processes, systems, logging data, information collection and the Facilities maintenance portal.Participate in team on-call rotationAdhere to and ensure compliance with all relevant OSHA safety regulationsOut of town travel on accasion and participation in an on-call rotation are requiredEssential skills and experience:College degree in facilities management, engineering, or related field and 5 years of management experience; or any combination of education, licensing, specialized training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the positionExcellent knowledge of HVAC, MEP, and other equipment associated with sophisticated buildingsExceptional interpersonal and communication skills; positive attitudeDemonstrated managerial and organizational skillsExhibit a proactive approach to responsibilitiesAbility to read blueprints and understand construction/operational specificationsExcellent computer skills and smartphone proficiencyExcellent time management skills; ability to organize and manage multiple projectsAbility to maintain a high level of strict confidentiality and professionalismPossess a valid driver’s license with a good driving recordValued but not required skills and experience:Private estate/hotel/ hospitality/museum experiencePhysical demands and work environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
