Keystone-Management is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician III at Boston Logan International Airport. The role involves preventive maintenance and repair of building plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including refrigeration and A/C units.

Tasks include filter changes, coil cleaning, painting, carpentry, and CMMS work orders. Essential qualifications include an electrical background, PM experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent.
• 2 years of vocational training in mechanical, electrical, HVAC or plumbing.
• Must possess a specific certification in a skilled trade or system.
• Experience performing Preventive Maintenance (PMs) on equipment.
• Professional painting experience is a plus.
• Commercial carpentry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on building plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Repair and service HVAC, refrigeration, and A/C units.
• Change filters and light bulbs; clean coils; perform basic carpentry and painting tasks.
• Use CMMS system to create and close out work orders with labor, equipment, and parts data.
• Support on-site staff and vendors; maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Shift: (2pm-10:30pm) Sunday-Thursday (2nd Shift)

Salary: $32.00-$36.00

Job Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Technician III is responsible for performing essential preventive maintenance and repair of building plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including refrigeration, and A/C units. Activities may include changing filters, cleaning heating and cooling coils, cleaning floor drains, changing light bulbs, painting, drywall, basic carpentry, performing preventive maintenance activities on equipment, assembling and disassembling systems furniture, and removing and installing signs. Performs repairs on walls, carpets, and windows. Essential Functions:

• Electrical background preferred
• Repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities
• Diagnose equipment issues & assist in the diagnosis of process-related problems
• Train other maintenance personnel on mechanical systems and personal areas of expertise
• Change of all filters for HVAC as required
• Change light bulbs, interior and exterior, as needed
• Available for an assigned emergency on-call schedule
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned
• Assists outside service personnel, inspectors and vendors
• Keeps workspace neat, clean and free of clutter
• Understand and comply with OSHA, Safety and PPE requirements
• Use computer-based CMMS system to create and closeout work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used
• Carry a company radio/cell phone for coverage and site-wide communication
• Must be able to work flexible hours

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• Must have at least 2 years of vocational training in mechanical, electrical, HVAC or plumbing or any combination
• Must possess a specific certification in a skilled trade or system
• Experience performing Preventative Maintenance (PM’s) on equipment
• Professional Painting experience is a plus
• Commercial Carpentry experience is a plus

Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to pass a Federal Aviation Administration background check
• Must be able to pass a drug test
• Lives within a 30-min drive to the Boston Logan International Airport

Working Conditions: Positions requires prolonged standing, walking on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities. The position also requires grasping, repetitive hand movement and fine coordination in using a computer keyboard and certain tools. The position also requires near and far vision when performing tasks such as inspections and repair work, in reading written work-related documents and using a computer. Acute hearing is required when providing phone and personal customer service. The need to lift, drag, carry and push equipment, tools and supplies up to 75 pounds is also required. Additionally, the incumbent may be exposed to mechanical and electrical hazards, loud noise, and inclement weather conditions, such as wet, heat and cold. The nature of the work also requires the incumbent to climb ladders.
