Job summary
Thrive Market in Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas, seeks a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to support the launch and ongoing operations of our new fulfillment center. You will perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on facility systems, troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and automated equipment, and mentor Level 1 technicians.
You’ll work outside regular hours as needed and help drive continuous improvement from day one, with competitive pay, benefits, and growth
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated systems.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work at heights up to 40’ with ladders/mechanical lifts.
- Able to read schematics and maintenance documentation.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex systems.
- Capable of mentoring junior maintenance staff.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily conveyor diagnostics, PMs, and repairs.
- Conduct safety walks and facility inspections.
- Maintain HVAC, fire pumps, doors, and lighting.
- Mentor Level 1 technicians and document maintenance records.
- Support facility improvements and projects.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical/electrical/automated systems.
- Ensure compliant safety procedures and PPE usage.

The Facility Maintenance Technician will play a key role in supporting the launch and ongoing success of our newest fulfillment center in Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas. This position will support the maintenance, operation, and continuous improvement of the facility by performing preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on facility systems and equipment. The technician will troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and automated systems, mentor Level 1 technicians, and support critical facility projects as the site ramps up operations. This role requires a self-directed, highly motivated individual with advanced technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while helping establish a safe, reliable, and high-performing operation from day one.
TBD (Must be available and flexible to respond to facility needs outside of regular business hours, including being on call when required)
- Lead daily conveyor diagnostics, preventative maintenance (PMs), and repairs
- Conduct daily conveyor inspections and facility safety walks
- Perform preventative maintenance on dock doors, dock levelers, fire pumps, and emergency systems
- Inspect and maintain fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, and HVAC systems
- Lead monthly facility and conveyor cleaning projects
- Support and execute facility improvement and construction projects
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and automated systems
- Replace and maintain HVAC filters, facility lighting, and general upkeep
- Mentor and support Level 1 technicians in maintenance procedures
- Document and maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
- Participate in root cause analysis of equipment failures and recommend solutions
- Assist in developing and improving maintenance procedures and protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation
- Experience performing troubleshooting and repair on complex systems
- Capable of mentoring and training junior maintenance staff
- Ability to adjust work hours based on unscheduled breakdowns or project needs
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with supervisors, managers, and team members
- Must be trustworthy, accountable, and safety-conscious
- Open to change and capable of helping design future maintenance processes
- Required to wear radio and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Ability to operate or be trained on material handling equipment and aerial lifts

- Compensation Description - The starting pay range for this position is between $26.00 - $34.00 depending on experience **Based on Level II or Level III**.
- Salary may increase over time based upon: skill, level of responsibility, additional duties, seniority, quantity or quality of production or other legitimate, business-related factors.
