The Ohio National Guard - The Adjutant General's Department of Ohio is seeking a Facility Maintenance Specialist 1 to help maintain safe, functional, and mission-ready facilities in support of the men and women who serve our state and nation.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary training in facilities maintenance technology, industrial trades, or an equivalent program.
• At least one year of experience in construction or building maintenance including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Must have a valid driver’s license; CDL if operating regulated motorized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and semi-skilled facility maintenance on buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical tasks.
• Support HVAC and mechanical room upkeep through preventive maintenance.
• Perform general building repair and installation support.
• Operate maintenance equipment and handle snow removal and grounds tasks.
• Complete work orders, maintain records, and communicate needs and status.
• Use computer-based systems for email, timekeeping, training, and self-service functions.
• Respond to urgent maintenance needs and support continuity of operations.
