Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) is seeking an entry-level Facility Maintenance Technician I to support maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds. The Facility Maintenance Technician I is an entry-level position responsible for supporting the maintenance of the Foundation's buildings, equipment, and grounds to help ensure a safe, functional, and reliable environment for employees, researchers, and visitors. Under the guidance of experienced technicians and supervisors, this position performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems, equipment, and facility infrastructure, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
The technician responds to work orders, assists with monitoring building automation systems and facility alarms, supports emergency response activities, and works collaboratively with Facilities staff and contractors to maintain the safe and efficient operation of the Foundation's facilities. This position is expected to develop technical skills through hands-on training while providing excellent customer service and gaining a broad understanding of facility maintenance operations.
High school diploma or GED
Completion of a trade or technical school program and a minimum of one (1) year of experience maintaining mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience
