SMP Automotive System Alabama Inc. is seeking a dedicated Facility Maintenance Technician in Cottondale, AL. You will ensure the ongoing functionality of the facility and related external sites, with emphasis on building maintenance, HVAC, and electrical systems.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, safety compliance, and timely repair work. Responsibilities include monitoring facilities, performing preventive maintenance, planning schedules, and maintaining safety devices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school degree or certificate preferred (HVAC, tooling, maintenance).
• Experience with building maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiar with OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and repair facility systems (HVAC, electrical, buildings).
• Implement preventative maintenance measures.
• Prepare and monitor maintenance schedules.
• Maintain safety and fire protection devices.
• Repair and maintain equipment and facilities.
• Plan, coordinate and execute repair work.
• Adhere to security guidelines.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
