Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to operate in a warehouse environment in Lockport, IL. The role involves maintenance on mobile equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, dock equipment, and related facilities tasks.

Responsibilities include daily rounds, repairs, safety participation, work-order management, and collaboration with operations. Attractive benefits and a boot allowance are offered.

Qualifications

• 2-year Associate degree or equivalent from a technical school or 3 years’ industrial experience.
• Read, write and understand verbal communication in English.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment and maintenance including fire systems, belts, motors, gearboxes and conveyors.
• Electrical maintenance knowledge from 110v–480v 3 phase; able to read electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily equipment rounds and perform repairs as required.
• Repair plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems; coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Participate in Safety Committee meetings to ensure a safe workplace.
• Handle work orders, inspections and adjustments.
• Support operations with solutions and recommendations.
• Serve as an after-hours point of contact for facilities issues.
