Facility Maintenance Technician 1st Shift (M-F 6-2:30)

Join our facilities team as a Facility Maintenance Technician 1st Shift (M-F 6-2:30) at Ashley Furniture Industries. In this role, you'll play a vital part in maintaining and enhancing our buildings and grounds, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all occupants.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance and repairs, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and door/window/lock maintenance.
• Maintain grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, parking lot upkeep, and equipment maintenance.
• Conduct safety and security inspections, maintain emergency systems, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage administrative tasks such as record-keeping, inventory management, scheduling preventive maintenance, and coordinating with contractors.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of facility maintenance experience
• Valid driver's license with a clean record
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Availability for occasional on-call duties

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical or trade school certification
• Experience with building automation and HVAC certification
• Forklift certification and pesticide license
• Experience with maintenance management software

Physical Requirements

• Extended standing/walking, climbing ladders, working at heights
