Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral of Missouri is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment within a Waynesville, MO facility serving adolescents. The role supports operations and the overall care environment in a residential treatment setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining facilities, supporting classrooms, and collaborating with staff to ensure patient safety and a supportive atmosphere for effective treatment and learning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Missouri Driver’s License preferred.
• At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Experience in a mental health setting (preferably with adolescents).

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and instructional strategies tailored to each adolescent’s unique needs.
• Support students during classrooms activities and lessons, providing guidance and encouragement to foster engagement and learning.
• Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and emotional regulation among students.
• Collaborate with the teacher and staff to monitor student progress and identify areas needing additional support.
• Facilitate communication with students, ensuring they understand instructions and feel comfortable expressing their needs and concerns.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and resources necessary for classroom activities and lessons.

In this role, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible in ensuring a safe, functional, and comfortable environment of care for adolescents facing behavioral challenges and medically complex physical conditions.
