Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral of Missouri- Waynesville is a residential treatment facility focused on providing comprehensive care for adolescents. The Maintenance Technician ensures a safe, functional environment for patients and staff within the facility.

The role involves maintaining spaces, coordinating with clinical teams, and supporting overall operations to promote health and well‑being. This is a hands-on position in a clinical setting with opportunities for growth and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Missouri Driver's License is preferred
• At least twenty-one (21) years of age
• Experience in a mental health setting (preferably with adolescents), and knowledge of child/adolescent growth and development, and the ability to relate to adolescents with substance abuse or mental health problems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining a safe and functional facility environment for adolescents.
• Support classroom settings with organized spaces and resources.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure safety, cleanliness, and comfort in care areas.
• Monitor environment and report maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Assist in promoting a supportive, respectful atmosphere for patients and staff.
• Adhere to policies to ensure safety and confidentiality.

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients as a Maintenance Technician at Perimeter Behavioral of Missouri- Waynesville. In this role, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible in ensuring a safe, functional, and comfortable environment of care for adolescents facing behavioral challenges and medically complex physical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and instructional strategies tailored to each adolescent's unique needs.
• Support students during classrooms activities and lessons, providing guidance and encouragement to foster engagement and learning.
• Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and emotional regulation among students.
• Collaborate with the teacher and staff to monitor student progress and identify areas needing additional support.
• Facilitate communication with students, ensuring they understand instructions and feel comfortable expressing their needs and concerns.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and resources necessary for classroom activities and lessons.
