Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is looking for a facility technician to perform general maintenance, mechanical tasks, and preventive upkeep on plant equipment in a first-shift schedule.

The role may involve assisting with shipping, receiving, and maintaining clean, safe storage areas including cold storage and chemical zones. The candidate should have 2–3 years in maintenance or manufacturing, be mechanically inclined with electrical/tool experience, and hold a Storm Water Operator Certification.

Qualifications

• Education: High School minimum.
• Experience: 2–3 years in facility, general maintenance, or manufacturing environments.
• Must be mechanically inclined with electrical and tool room equipment experience.
• Forklift and/or man-lift experience; Storm Water Operator Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform general facility maintenance (plumbing, HVAC, repairs).
• Conduct or assist with preventive maintenance on equipment and conveyors.
• Support Shipping/Receiving and keep areas clean and organized.
• Lead janitorial staff and coordinate with vendors for oil, coolant, recycling.
• Ensure Storm Water compliance and follow ISO 14001 related practices.

Job description:Work Schedule: First Shift, Monday–Friday (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM), with weekends as scheduled.Core ResponsibilitiesFacility & Equipment Maintenance: Perform general facility maintenance (plumbing, heating/cooling, repairs) and conduct or assist with preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment, floor scrubbers, forklifts, and conveyors.Operations Support: Serve as an alternate Coolant Technician, assist Shipping and Receiving as needed, and maintain cleanliness in parking, cold storage, and chemical storage areas.Leadership & Vendor Coordination: Prioritize, direct, and train janitorial staff; monitor cleaning supplies inventory; and act as a customer liaison for oil, coolant, and recycling vendors.Environmental & Compliance: Manage Storm Water Operator and Great Lakes Water Authority responsibilities, adhere to recycling and safety programs (e.g., lockout/tagout), and ensure compliance with Quality and Environmental systems (ISO 14001).Candidate Profile & QualificationsEducation: High School minimum.Experience: 2–3 years in facility, general maintenance, or manufacturing environments.Key Proficiencies: Mechanically inclined with electrical and tool room equipment experience; ability to work independently; forklift and/or man-lift experience; and Storm Water Operator Certification.Benefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurance
