Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician for Groveport, OH. You will perform repairs and preventive maintenance on building systems, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and related components, supporting a safe and efficient operation.

The role requires 2+ years of maintenance experience, a High School Diploma, and the ability to read manuals and work independently. A flexible schedule and occasional travel may be required, with a base wage of $22.00/hour plus weekend premium.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, documents, and drawings.
• Self-starter who can work independently.
• Flexible schedule to meet business needs.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
• Willingness to travel as necessary; must pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform building inspections daily/weekly/monthly with attention to detail to identify repairs.
• Participate in Safety Committee meetings to ensure a safe work environment.
• Use Maintenance Work Order system to perform service in timely, orderly, efficient manner.
• Conduct routine maintenance and timely repairs in painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and dock door hardware.
• Support operations by proposing solutions and improvements.
• Be the point of contact during off-shift hours for facilities issues.
• Work in varied conditions including heat, cold, and moisture.
• Assist with other projects as assigned by supervisor.

Position Summary

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for promptly and safely performing repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of building and facility equipment, fixtures and systems. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide variety of facility plumbing, mechanical, electrical, heating and cooling systems. Conducts preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance duties. Assignments are semi-routine in nature. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of Penske Logistics.

Major Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly building inspections with a high attention to detail to identify necessary repairs.
• Participate in Safety Committee meetings, ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.
• Conduct maintenance service through the use of the Maintenance Work Order system in a timely, orderly, and efficient manner
• Perform routine maintenance and timely repairs in the areas of painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, dock door hardware, and all related building components.
• Support operations department by providing suggestions and developing solutions as needed.
• Be a point of contact during off shift hours for facilities issues.
• Performs work in a wide variety of conditions, such as heat, cold, and moisture.
• Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor.

• Requires walking, standing, squatting, bending and kneeling with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must have basic hand tools.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
