DCCH is a non-profit social service agency serving children and families seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team to care for our 66-acre property housing horse stables, a playground, four buildings, and other ancillary buildings. This role reports to the Campus Facilities Manager and is essential in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in mechanical systems, electrical and low-voltage systems, hydraulics, and facility equipment. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and skilled at troubleshooting and problem-solving. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and general maintenance tasks to keep facilities, equipment, and building systems operating safely and efficiently.
This is a physically demanding position that requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing, and working in confined or elevated areas. The employee must be able to safely lift and carry materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 50 to 75 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance or appropriate lifting equipment. The position may also require pushing, pulling, and maneuvering equipment and materials throughout the facility.
As an employee at DCCH Center for Children and Families, the Facility Maintenance Technician shall be sensitive and responsive to cultural differences, which are present in the organization’s service population. In addition, this person must promote and support the principles of Trauma Informed Care (TIC) throughout the agency.
