Job summary

Advantage Technical in Beverly, MA is seeking a hands-on maintenance and cleaning helper for a temporary 3-4 month assignment. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance on facility equipment, keep the area safe, clean, and organized, and operate basic janitorial equipment during standard business hours.

The role requires experience in cleaning or janitorial work, basic mechanical troubleshooting, ability to use PPE, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience on a cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial crew.
• Skilled in painting, carpentry, plumbing, and demolition.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Experience operating and maintaining an electric forklift and scissor lift.
• Comfortable selecting and using a variety of personal protective equipment.
• Strong English communication skills, verbal and written.
• Basic arithmetic and sound problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a good DMV record.
• Able to work independently and stay on top of details without constant supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on facility equipment, including HVAC systems, oil mist extractors, and solvent cleaning machines
• Dispose of metal scrap and mix and dispense coolant for machine tools
• Maintain proper lubrication levels in machine tools
• Keep the facility clean, organized, and safely maintained
• Operate janitorial equipment such as floor scrubbers and buffers
• Perform miscellaneous maintenance tasks as assigned
