POSITION TITLE: Facility Maintenance Technician

REPORTS TO: General Manager

DIRECT REPORTS: None

COMPENSATION: $19.00 - $25.00 an hour DOE

PURPOSE

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and systems within the facility. They ensure health, safety, and operational procedures are followed to enhance the member experience and ensure smooth facility operations.

The ideal candidate is engaging, diligent, organized, results-driven, and possesses excellent customer service skills.

DELIVERABLES

The key responsibilities include:

• Communication: Provide daily updates to the General Manager, document work performed, and seek feedback on quality and needs.
• Scheduling & Planning: Collaborate with the General Manager to schedule and verify completion of maintenance tasks.
• Inspection and Testing: Regularly inspect and test equipment and systems for proper functioning.
• Safety: Ensure safety of members, staff, and assets through inspections and communication.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in equipment and systems.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance as outlined in the CMMS system.
• Repairs: Repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues.
• Work Orders: Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and codes.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory; update work orders daily in the CMMS system.
• Equipment Monitoring: Monitor and test building systems for optimal performance.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain cardio, weight, and general workout equipment; assemble new equipment; refurbish as needed.
• Emergency Response: Address urgent maintenance issues promptly.
• Team Collaboration: Work with management, contractors, and vendors as needed.
• General Upkeep: Perform tasks like patching, painting, carpentry, and groundskeeping.
