Job summary

Volunteers of America Texas is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to manage day-to-day facility operations at our Fort Worth campuses. You will supervise maintenance, health/safety, sanitation, and transportation components, ensuring readiness and compliance for program sites.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field with supervisory experience, or at least five years in facility maintenance leadership. We offer dependable hours and a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field and two years of related work experience, including supervisory experience.
• Alternatively, at least five years of facility maintenance experience in a supervisory or leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Maintains HazCom Notebook, Life/Safety Compliance Book, chemical index.
• Schedules monthly fire drills and inspects/maintains facility fire systems.
• Oversees upkeep and preventative maintenance of the building and agency vehicles.
• Supervises facility services staff including food service, maintenance, and janitorial personnel.
• Monitors the procurement and inventory of housekeeping, maintenance and food supplies.
• Directs supervision of vendors and ensures resources stay within budget.
• Performs on-call duties as scheduled.

Day-To-Day

• Maintains HazCom Notebook, Life/Safety Compliance Book, chemical index
• Schedules monthly fire drills and performs inspection and maintenance of facility fire
• Responsible for the upkeep and preventative maintenance of the building and facility vehicles
• Responsible for the supervision of the maintenance, health/safety sanitation, local transportation, and food service components of facility operations
• Monitors the procurement and inventory of housekeeping, maintenance and food supplies.
• Directs supervision of facility services and staff which include food services, maintenance, and janitorial personnel
• Works as liaison between the facility and all authorized vendors
• Ensures management of the program's resources within budget
• Supervises, supports, motivates and empowers the members of his/her team.
• Responsible for the upkeep and preventative maintenance of all agency vehicles
• Performs on-call duties as scheduled

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field plus two years related work experience, two years of which are in a supervisory position OR at least minimum five years of facility maintenance work.
