Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide job hazard analysis (JHA) for work efforts and conduct safety, facility systems, and material handling fleet inspections.
• Perform proactive and reactive work on:
• Facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and related assets
• Conveyor system startup and operation
• Material handling fleet checks, including batteries and charging systems
• Distribution Center racking systems
• General maintenance throughout the facility
• Oversee and manage contract services as required for the Distribution Center.
• Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance, repair, and renovation projects.
• Maintain records and update asset information in the Enterprise Asset Management System.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications:

• 3 to 5 years of facilities maintenance experience, with knowledge of warehouse/distribution equipment and systems, including material handling, conveyor systems, and racking.
• Certifications in a skilled trade or work towards an associate degree in facility management or engineering are a plus and can substitute for experience.
• Combination of training, education, and experience providing necessary skills and knowledge.

Knowledge of:

• Building electrical, mechanical (HVAC), and plumbing systems
• Electrical troubleshooting, breaker replacement, lighting, VFDs, transformers, and motor control panels
• Emergency power systems, generators, UPS, and transfer systems
• HVAC and refrigeration principles
• Fire and burglar alarm systems
• Commercial plumbing, roofing, and door systems
• Conveyor maintenance, PLC logic, zero pressure systems, and mechanical repairs
• Material handling fleet and battery maintenance
• Building inspections and minor maintenance tasks
• Managing outside contractors and vendors
• Safety inspection methods and occupational hazards
• Office practices, methods, and computer applications.
