Stellar Energy in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Facility Maintenance Helper for 2nd shift to support maintenance tasks in a manufacturing facility. You will assist electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians, performing routine tasks to keep equipment operating smoothly.

The role is full-time, non-exempt, hourly, with Monday–Friday, 3:00pm to 1:30am schedule and occasional overtime. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals.

Facility Maintenance Helper- 2nd Shift

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Summary Objective

The Facility Maintenance Helper assists in performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operation. Support skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians) in complex repair tasks, providing tools, materials, and hands-on assistance as needed.

• Participate in the inspection of buildings, facilities, and equipment to identify repair needs and safety hazards.


• Facilitate the setup and breakdown of company events or meetings by arranging furniture, setting up equipment, and ensuring appropriate cleanup.


• Execute minor repairs on building structures, including patching walls, painting, and fixing door handles. Help in maintaining outdoor areas by performing landscaping and exterior cleaning.


• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools, ensuring availability and condition for use.


• Perform emergency custodial duties in the event of spills, leaks, or other immediate cleanliness or safety concerns.

Work Location

This position will be located out of our Manufacturing Facility in Jacksonville, FL.

Work Environment

This position operates out of a manufacturing facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 3:00pm to 1:30am. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.
