Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Facility Maintenance Custodian in Las Vegas, Nevada. The role involves cleaning and maintaining office spaces, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to keep the facility attractive, safe and functional.

You will perform light maintenance and minor repairs, manage supplies, and support meeting setups as needed. The ideal candidate has custodial experience, ability to operate basic tools, maintains stock levels, holds a valid driver's license, and can obtain a US government

Qualifications

• Two years custodial experience with proper cleaning solutions and equipment.
• One or more years of light maintenance experience.
• Proficient with hand tools and light power tools.
• Experience maintaining inventory stock levels.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to qualify for a US government security clearance (US citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Maintain interior offices/workspaces in a clean, orderly condition.
• Remove trash, sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, clean, wash, wax and buff areas.
• Perform minor repairs on facility infrastructure and equipment.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Prepare rooms for meetings and conferences.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Amentum is seeking a Facility Maintenance Custodian in Las Vegas, Nevada.

• Under general supervision, clean and maintain, in an orderly condition, the designated areas in office buildings and related work and storage areas. Successful completion of the duties of this position contributes to the attractiveness, safety and functionality of the facility.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Working under direction of a Facility Maintenance Manager, the incumbent will maintain building interior office/workspaces in a clean and orderly condition.
• The employee removes trash, sweeps, mops, vacuums, dusts, cleans, washes, waxes and buffs offices, hallways, storage/warehouse areas, restrooms, windows, kitchen areas and associated spaces.
• Performs maintenance and minor repairs on facility infrastructure and equipment including plumbing, carpentry, touch up painting, changing air filters, drywall/plaster, toilets, locks, water purifier and lighting fixtures.
• Maintains an adequate inventory of hygiene/cleaning supplies to meet routine requirements.
• May pick up/deliver parts, supplies and equipment.
• Prepare, reconfigure, set up tables, desks, chairs, coffee bar/food/drinks as needed to support meetings and conferences.
• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Employee must have two years custodial experience including skills in the proper selection and application of cleaning solutions, and other materials, and in the operation of custodial equipment.
• Possess one or more years’ experience performing light maintenance and repairs as listed in the responsibilities described above.
• Must be proficient in the use of hand tools and light power tools.
• Must have experience in establishing and maintaining inventory stock levels of job-related supplies.
• Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license and be able to qualify for and maintain a US Government security clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a US Government security clearance.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Work is performed in a business office/workspace/warehouse environment that is lighted, heated and ventilated. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts items weighing 15-25 pounds and occasionally in excess of 45 pounds. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; and risk of electrical shock. Employee may be required to wear gloves, hard hat or eye protection and other personal protective equipment needed for safe completion of assigned tasks.
