Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking a Facility Maintenance role to keep the Service Center clean and presentable, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.

The position supports Operations by maintaining facilities, coordinating with vendors, and assisting with construction-related tasks. Responsibilities include regular cleaning, organizing, inspections, safety adherence, and timely communication of any equipment defects to the on-duty supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Basic math skills.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Clean the dock, yard and office.
• Sweep and Empty Trash cans.
• Organize.
• Complete weekly & monthly inspection.
• Communicate/coordinate with outside vendors to ensure quality and Dayton Freight Line's standards are met.
• Assist Service Center Manager in working with contractors on new construction projects.
• Timely communicate any known defects of equipment to Operations Supervisor on duty.
• Available for irregular work schedules and for altering work shifts and/or assignments.
• Effectively interact and converse with customers and company personnel.
• Lift and carry boxes without assistance.
• Report all accidents and/or injuries immediately to Operations Supervisor on duty.
• Work within all company safety requirements.
• Complete other various tasks as instructed.
