Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking an Investigator to oversee internal investigations within the facility, including staff, contractors and volunteers. You will collect and preserve evidence, coordinate with the Legal Department, and liaise with law enforcement as needed.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, two years of investigation experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, a valid driver's license, and the ability to testify in formal proceedings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years of investigation experience required.
• Experience in corrections, law enforcement, probation or investigations may substitute education on a year-for-year basis.
• Experience with Microsoft Office or similar software required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum age 18 years.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal investigations of staff, contractors, consultants and volunteers.
• Investigate grievances, facility incidents, policy violations and inmate/staff felonies.
• Liaise with contract partners and law enforcement; share findings and intelligence as required.
• Collect and preserve evidence to prevent tampering and contamination.
• Secure and maintain evidence in accordance with policy and local rules of evidence.
• Respond to subpoenas and provide testimony in court or hearings when necessary.
