Job summary

Upbring is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children and staff at our Brownsville facility. You will perform general housekeeping, sanitation of common areas, and restrooms, while ensuring safe handling of supplies and chemicals.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Six (6) months of housekeeping or janitorial experience.
• Ability to prioritize and complete assigned tasks and unplanned requests during shift.
• Good time management and organizational skills with the ability to complete multiple tasks.
• Strong people and interpersonal skills with the ability to work diverse groups of people.
• Preferred: bilingual in English and Spanish (based on service populations).

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping duties such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, and polishing.
• Clean and sanitize common areas, restrooms, windows, walls, carpets, etc.
• Spot clean and maintain resident and common areas as needed.
• Clean and store all equipment and supplies.
• Provide cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Ensure the environment is safe and free of hazardous chemicals for residents and staff.
• Report accidents and incidents to Facilities Manager promptly.
• Notify Facilities Manager regarding major facility/building issues.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
