Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Facility Housekeeper to maintain clean and inviting storage facilities. Responsibilities include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and restrooms, plus inventory management and possible other duties as assigned. A proactive, organized, self-starting candidate is preferred and must be able to use a smartphone and Bluetooth scanner.

Responsibilities

• Provide sweeping, vacuuming, wiping, and mopping for storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevator, etc.
• Dispose of trash around facility
• Maintain and track cleaning supply inventory, requesting supplies as needed
• Other duties as assigned
• Scanning vacant and non vacant rooms with a mobile device
• Locking and unlocking of delinquent rooms
• Shoveling and weeding as needed

Facility Housekeeper Responsibilities:

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of remaining stationary, moving around outdoors, positioning oneself to reach objects at varying heights, and moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50lbs assisted or unassisted.
