Job summary

AdventHealth in Killeen, Texas is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to manage the Maintenance Management system, prioritize hospital work orders, and develop preventive maintenance schedules with the Plant Operations Manager.

You will order parts, operate the building automation and alarm systems, maintain records for external inspections, participate in safety training, and work with a team to meet department goals while upholding patient and staff safety.

Qualifications

• Record keeping of documents for inspections.
• Basic knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems nomenclature.
• Excellent customer service to address maintenance requests.
• Ability to operate multiple alarm panels and computerized systems (e.g., Simplex Fire Alarm, Medical Gas, Generator, Fire Pump, Boilers).
• Must communicate in English.
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office.
• Experience using CMMS (PeopleSoft) to manage work orders.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission or DNV inspection requirements desirable.

Job Description:

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

• Manages the Maintenance Management system to efficiently prioritize work orders submitted by hospital staff.


• Develops work order tasks and establishes the preventive maintenance schedule in collaboration with the Plant Operations Manager.


• Orders parts for maintenance technicians to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.


• Maintains proficiency in operating several alarm notification systems.


• Fully operates the building automation system.


• Manages record-keeping requirements for external inspections by Authorities Having Jurisdiction.


• Attends all required safety training programs and understands responsibilities related to general and job-specific safety.


• Follows the Hospital Exposure Control Plans for Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens.


• Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees.


• Promotes effective working relations and works as part of a team to meet departmental goals.


• Attains all agreed-upon goals and objectives within specified time frames.


• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to maintain meticulous record keeping of documents for inspections [Required]


• Basic knowledge of electrical / mechanical systems nomenclatures to competently seek out replacement parts and order them for maintenance technicians [Required]


• Excellent customer service skills to ensure customers are satisfied their maintenance requests are being attended to in a timely and efficient manner [Required]


• Ability to master the operation of multiple complex electronic alarm panels and computerized systems such as Simplex Fire Alarm, Medical Gas, Generator, Fire Pump, Boilers, Fuel Oil Pump [Required]


• Must be able to communicate in English [Required]


• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]


• Experience using CMSS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) such as PeopleSoft to manage the work order process [Preferred]


• Knowledge of Joint Commission or DNV inspection requirements very desirable [Preferred]

Education:

• Associate [Preferred]


• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience:

• Experience using CMSS to manage the work order process


• Experience with AIMS 3 system

Licenses and Certifications:

• Driver's License (DL) [Preferred]


• Licensed Electrical Contractor (LEC) [Preferred]


• Plumbing License (PLB) [Preferred]
