Job summary

Bosch USA in Roseville, CA is seeking a Facility Engineer to oversee the physical infrastructure of an advanced semiconductor facility. You will design, install, operate, and maintain critical systems to support ultrapure water, wastewater, gas and chemical distribution, and related safety compliance.

This role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with vendors, engineers, and operations to improve efficiency, reliability, and safety.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret technical documents and manuals.
• Ability to create and maintain operating and training documents and manuals.
• Strong communications skills with vendors, engineers and operators.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft applications—Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Work with vendors to start up and install new equipment at Bosch Roseville.
• Assist in design reviews for facilities systems by providing input and comments and ensuring designs meet safety requirements.
• Prepare designs, layouts, drawings, and bills of material for maintenance and projects.
• Modify equipment and systems to improve efficiency, safety, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues with facility systems.
• Develop corrective action proposals and recommendations.
• Provide SOPs and specifications for operation and maintenance of facility systems.
• Provide instructions and job safety analysis for special projects.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations; secure permits; coordinate with authorities.
• Coordinate shutdowns and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Initiate and implement continuous improvement programs using metrics.
• Train facilities mechanics on systems to improve 24x7 response time.
