Micross in Durham, NC, is seeking a full-time Facility Engineer/Technician for 2nd shift at its Raleigh/Durham facility. The role focuses on hands-on maintenance in a BEOL semiconductor processing environment, supporting both office space and cleanrooms (Class 100 and 1000).

You will perform periodic maintenance, organize work areas, and assist the Facilities team while complying with safety, quality, and ITAR policies; on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree level program or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on, mechanical work.
• Ability to read building schematics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on equipment maintenance in a BEOL facility.

Facility Engineer/Tech (Semiconductor Processing) 2nd Shift

We are seeking a full time Facility Engineer / Technician for 2nd shift for our Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina facility.

For more than 40 years, Micross extensive hi-reliability capabilities have served the global Aerospace & Defense, Space, Energy, Medical, Industrial and Fabless Semiconductor markets. Micross possesses the sourcing, packaging, assembly, engineering, test and logistics expertise needed to support an application throughout its entire program cycle.

The Technician will focus on learning maintenance in a building which houses both office space and back end of line (BEOL) semiconductor processing cleanrooms, both Class 100 and Class 1000. This position will support and work alongside the Facilities team. This position will participate in periodic maintenance and repair for various building facilities like air handling units, DI water systems, etc., as well as typical building maintenance tasks in the office and conference room areas.

• Hands-on equipment maintenance in a BEOL facility
• Participate and execute periodic maintenance events for facilities
• Organize work areas and inventory spares
• Must have the ability to climb steps and ladders, bend, stoop, push pull and lift up-to fifty (50) pounds on a routine basis
• Employ standard troubleshooting protocols
• On Call Requirement: will be required to participate in an on-call rotation to respond to urgent maintenance needs outside of working hours.

Job Qualifications:

• US citizenship or permanent resident alien status is required
• Completed an Associate’s Degree level program or equivalent experience
• Willingness and ability to complete hands-on, mechanical work
• Ability to read building schematics is a plus
• Experience with HVAC repair is a plus

Job Skills:

• Excellent hands-on mechanical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Should be able to collect and summarize information in EXCEL tables
• Experience with Microsoft Office
