Qualifications

  • Familiar with NEC standards and electrical testing tools (ohmmeters).
  • Skilled with power tools and hand tools, practicing safe operation.
  • Experience on renovation or construction environments is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of high voltage is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with precision and attention to detail.

This position works directly with the maintenance + carpenter trades staff to maintain the operating standards of the building complex. In addition, this position will interface with contractors, decorators and building staff in regard to electrical work within the facility.

Education

High School or better.

Experience

six years of progressively responsible journeyman-level electrical experience is required; or completion of a four-year IBEW approved technical training program in electrical repair and maintenance combined with two years of electrical experience. An equivalent combination of experience and education will be accepted. Knowledge of electrical operations, safety and OSHA standards is critical.
