Job description

Job Title: Facility Director

The Facility Director is expected to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the entire branch complex for all assigned facilities. Responsibilities include supervising housekeeping/custodial staff, performing routine and preventative maintenance as per the maintenance calendar, informing management of any foreseeable problems, and performing repairs or renovations as required.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; or minimum of five years’ experience managing large or multiple facilities, with knowledge of electrical, HVAC, pool filtration, and grounds maintenance.
  • Experience managing staff and working with contractors.
  • Knowledge of budget development and compliance; current pool operator and pesticide applicator licenses.
  • Experience with work order systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee operations and personnel in maintenance and cleaning of the branch and grounds, including outdoor pools, fields, playgrounds, and landscaping, ensuring safety and well-being of members and staff.
  • Conduct daily evaluations of equipment and facilities; address safety and cleanliness issues.
  • Manage and schedule project work with minimal disruption to members.
  • Follow safety and risk management procedures; maintain logs and records; perform daily building audits; respond to member concerns within 48 hours.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate maintenance and housekeeping staff.
  • Create staff schedules, monitor time sheets, handle payroll, and manage departmental budgets.
