Overview

US Anesthesia Partners (USAP) is seeking a Credentialing Coordinator to join our team remotely. The role involves maintaining accurate records of providers’ credentials, processing applications for privileges and reappointments, and monitoring licensure renewals for Physicians, CRNA’s, APN’s, and PAs.

Note: US Anesthesia Partners does not hire candidates residing in New York, California, Hawaii, or Alaska at this time.

Job Highlights

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

  • Processing initial applications and reappointments for hospitals, surgical centers, and managed care entities.
  • Maintaining complete files of provider licensure and credentials, monitoring renewals, and forwarding copies to facilities.
  • Updating credentialing databases with demographic and licensure information.
  • Managing continuing medical education/ACLS credits and other training requirements.
  • Updating curricula vitae/profiles for each provider.
  • Maintaining correspondence and archival credentialing files.
  • Performing other credentialing duties as needed.
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, database management, and scanning applications.
  • Knowledge of NCQA and/or JCAHO accreditation standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of Federal and State confidentiality regulations and Peer Review Guidelines.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, physicians, and external customers.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Good communication skills with the public.

Education/Training/Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent; an A.S. or B.S. in business administration or healthcare-related field is preferred.
  • CPMSC/CPCS Certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years experience in Credentialing.
