Qualifications

• Erfahrung in der Zubereitung von Mahlzeiten in einer geschäftigen Küche.
• Kenntnisse in der Einhaltung von HACCP-Standards.

Responsibilities

• Zubereitung und Präsentation von nahrhaften Mahlzeiten für die Bewohner.
• Überwachung und Erstellung von Menüs gemäß den Anforderungen.

Skills

BaptistCare Warena Centre is a premier aged care home located in the bushland suburb of Bangor in the Sutherland Shire. It offers a welcoming, home-like environment with landscaped gardens and comfortable sitting areas with natural vistas.

The facility features general and dementia care rooms within a secure memory care centre. All rooms include ensuites, TV/Phone points, heaters, built-in wardrobes, and emergency monitoring systems. Accommodation options include both individual and companion rooms for couples or social residents.

About the role

We are seeking a Part Time Cook responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality and service for our residents. You will prepare meals from quality ingredients, following a BaptistCare rotating menu, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Availability for both morning and afternoon shifts is essential.

This role is Monday to Friday – 75 hours per fortnight

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tasteful, well-presented, nutritious meals to enable residents to live well
• Create, supervise, and prepare menus
• Ensure kitchen practices meet BaptistCare HACCP Food Safety standards

Skills & experience

• Experience in a busy commercial kitchen environment
• Knowledge of Food Safety Guidelines (HACCP)
• Understanding of IDDSSI and texture-modified foods (advantageous)
• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
