Job summary

CVPH is seeking a Manager, HIM (Facility Coding) to lead the Facility Coding program, ensuring compliance with hospital, state and federal reporting guidelines. This role liaises with the business office, patient registration, medical and ancillary staff to resolve issues and improve workflows.

The ideal candidate holds RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCS-P credentials, a Bachelor's in HIM, at least five years of coding/CDI management in acute care, and strong knowledge of MS-DRGs, APR-DRGs, and APCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HIM or related field required.
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS or CCS-P credentials required.
• Minimum five years of coding/CDI management in an acute care facility.
• Strong grasp of MS-DRGs, APR-DRGs, and APCs; familiarity with HIPAA and ROI regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize the Facility Coding program and ensure compliance with hospital, state and federal reporting guidelines.
• Act as liaison with business office, patient registration, medical and ancillary staff to resolve issues and improve workflows.
• Mentor and guide CDI staff; collaborate with CDI specialists to optimize coding and audits.
