This is a full-time, remote position available in specific states, with flexible hours between 7am and 7pm. The role involves coding high-complexity inpatient services, including trauma, ICU, cardiac, transplant, orthopedics, high-risk OB, NICU, and more, using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding systems.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of inpatient coding experience in an acute care facility, holds relevant certifications (such as CCS, COC, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA), and demonstrates proficiency in ICD-10 coding principles. Responsibilities include analyzing medical records, coding diagnoses and procedures accurately, abstracting clinical data, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and mentoring less experienced staff.
